Wow, great there will be a new Freeze Tag mod!

I like the way FreeFrag servers did it. There was an outer circle exposed around the frozen player. The more teammates were standing in it, the faster a small circle from the frozen player touched the outer circle. video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeOIV1Pjp34

But anything is welcome of course. Will just wait for the beta .

The beta is about ready to launch, but I need some maps. I'll probably have to end up using arena maps and remove the arena logic with Stripper:Source, but I'd really like to use custom maps.

Is this mod going to be open to public? It's starting to look like one of those possible private deals like mecha does. if it's open to everyone then you are a hero and thank you for all your hardwork.

It's going to be private for the first couple weeks until I make sure it's solid. The I'll release it publicly, but I'm going to continue running "official servers" that just have a couple perks like ranking.

Except Mecha outright releases new versions with bugfixes only on his own servers, then leaves the old versions to rot. Like what happened to TF2Ware.

I read your ideas thoroughly and watched the video now.

People not being unfreezed to the spawn after some time, it could take a very long time if you aren't noticed frozen? Or frozen when you're in line of a sentry (nobody can unfreeze you)?

Also I think it should be more clear whether a player is frozen or not. Things like coloured players or something. But on the other hand, I have still the old Freeze Tag in mind, which was played at original maps. If there will be optimized maps, things will be different I presume.

Did you already manage to make sentrys ignore frozen players btw (bug from old Freeze Tag) .
