I had a mess tonight and am not sure what to do. he was changing playername, steamid and now my server will not boot.

Yes... sometimes regulars post in the forums people that need to be banned and we'll ban them.

You should get the Name Change Protect plugin - it works great on name changers

I know I could wipe my server to get it to run again. Anyone respectable want to look at my server stuff before I do that?

and yes, SMAC would be a great thing to install... although you should update to SM 1.4 if you haven't already.

I had it but disabled it so I could generate a .nav. I will never go without it again. Can anyone see what happened before I wipe my install.
