Every piece of a workshop multiple piece campaign SHOULD show up in RED in your game addons list from the main menu. When you look in the console and see the conflict is the mission files, THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM. This means the game is telling you it has a mission file conflict = this is GOOD. Workshop campaigns need a text mission file in every part or else the game will load EVERY part ON EVERY MAP THAT LOADS. Load Dead Center, and every multiple part workshop campaign will also loads all of its model and material on that campaign Dead Center, and cause conflicts that are problematic. Taco Bucket and Deathcraft 2.1 are two examples of workshop campaigns that all show up in addons as red. You can leave every multiple part campaign from the workshop ALWAYS if it is red in addons. Yama, most versions of Dead Before Dawn, Dnieper, Bacck To School, Yama, and many others are examples. They are loading all their material and model files every time you are NOT playing them just like a skin/mod. Skin/mods only have an addoninfo.txt file and load every campaign. If a campaign has 5 parts and the parts without mission files have a giggabyte of materials and models, THEY ARE LOADING EVERY MAP THAT YOUR SERVER PLAYS. BAD. If you run Dead Before Dawn, Yama, Back to school, Dark Wood extended, Journey to Splash Mtn, and say the Bloody Moors, your server will be loading 5 GB of models and materials EVERY map that you play. This causes problems.

The solution is NOT to run only 13 stock campaigns and 10 custom, it is to follow the rules I've outlined here. Consolidate workshop campaigns in to one VPK and drop in the addons folder. Or run the counterpart to the workshop campaign from gamemaps, although most folks hate grabbing maps from there because you have to restart game to activate them, and your game has to minimize to even download them. Then you gotta unarchive them to addons folder blah blah blah

Death Woods is an exception to point out. In the workshop, it is 6 parts. Parts 1 thru 5 are only map files, so they do NOT need a mission file to tell the game they are loading. Just like all stock campaigns are in a folder name maps, each vpk has one of the five maps in it, IN a map folderFYI: . Author could have put them all in one part for sure, total size of 214mb. He does however understand how the workshop works. Part 6 has ALL the materials and models and is the only part with a mission file. Rarely, can you do this with larger campaigns.
My game never crashes now that I have only proper multiple part workshop campaigns, all showing up red in my addons list. Only one campaign ever loads client side and the same goes for server side. Our server runs close to 200 campaigns. When you get up towards 300, load times for even simple maps become longer. Our server crashes very infrequently now as well.

Remember, the mission file tells the server what map to run when you load in to it. If every map vpk has one, you will never have conflicts and issues, and only one campaign at a time will load when you are playing.
