Does the latest version that OP posted not have sourcebans compatibility?

Does this ban after the first line or does it require multiple lines one after another before it bans? I know of some people who have a chat bind that references lmaobox but it's just a bind that gets used on occasion. Obviously I wouldn't want to ban someone for using a harmless bind.

If they type the trigger, it is an instant ban.

Unless your SourceBans is very out of date, the latest version will work with SB.

Depends on what you set the detection to.

Either way, it will ban on first trigger... but the trigger CVAR works like so:
sm_lmaoban_detection - If 0, disabled. If 1, strict detection. If 2, detection if URL is mentioned. default: 1.
I would recommend STRICT detection... where you literally have to send the exact LMAOBOX lines to be hit by a ban. The intention of this plugin was to act as an additional layer of protection: only banning people who actually use LMAOBOX.

Right, I just don't like the idea of perma banning someone because they used a chat bind to troll and weren't actually hacking. Considering the binds are spammed over and over when they are actually using the hack I would be more than happy to use this if it detected x binds in y seconds, rather than one bind and instant ban.

Also I believe that you will only see the chat spam from those who are using the free version and not the paid version. Perhaps the author has a sense of humor?

Same here. Using 1.4.11 and it doesn't send the ban to sourcebans

I should clarify that when I say latest I mean SB 1.5 and later.

It should also be blocking the message.. do you have other plugins that may be interfering with the chat hooks?

I'm not using this plugin because it would cause lots of unjustified bans, however what I was saying is that I believe only the "Free" version of LMAOBOX spams binds and not the premium, or paid, version.
