Just thought I would bring up another FYI...

I was having trouble getting metamod installed on my server too, and I think this is how I fixed it.

Make sure that you set your FTP client to upload the .so file in 'BINARY' mode. I think some FTP clients don't understand what a .so file is (when you have windows for an OS and run all windows apps why would it) and it uploads it in ASCII mode, which I don't think works.

Aww thought that might have been it then. Was already set for binary mode
