Welcome thing Help

See when u join the server theres a message that comes up Welcome Striker etc...
How do i change it and put Rules on there like pub servers???
is there a way to do that?
if there is Plz Post FULL instructions

Are you refering to the amxmodx welcome.amx or just to the regular motd? If first one, locate addons/amxx/configs/conmotd.txt and edit that file to say what you want. If second locate your motd.txt in the base folder of your mod...so if cstrike it should be cstrike/motd.txt if dod then dod/motd.txt You then edit this file. To me it sounds like your using the first.

I have the same question, regarding the conmotd.txt.
What shall it contain?

Just plain text e.g: Welcome To Our Server! ?????

I have seen may layouts with rich colors and fonts.. pictures.. and so on.. How do they do that?

make sure your typing the html text correctly, watch the spaces etc. That's what happened 2 me, and all because of a little space....

All correct...
It's the most simple HTML ever....

There must be a problem with the welcome....smr file..

Ran it trough the compiler on this site and it came up with 4 errors, but it did not say witch...

you are talking about using the amxx MOTD or the default server one in the mod dir.

In your addons/amxx/plugins.ini disable welcomemsg.amx like this

;welcomemsg.amx      ; displays motd @ client connection

and add the above html code to the motd in your mod directory and change map on your server to update. no restart needed.

You can also check it by pressing x for the in game menu and going to help-> server info

You can edit the html to say what ever you want. I dont even know html that well but I made a decent looking one. Do a search for html code using yahoo for what tags to use, and try this site for RGB values on white or black, I suggest black

You should write in "conmotd.txt" only a plain text (Why? "conmotd"- console message of the day) Do you believe that you can see a picture in the console?. In "motd.txt" you can write html only if you use Steam (Why? Cuz WON doesn't support html).
