I was hoping to launch a client in a similar way to how the slap command works.

Then why not just look at how the slap command works?

edit: actually it seems instead of TeleportEntity the slap command now has it's own function:

Yeah except now it's a little less use friendly since a *theoretical user* can't just open up the slap.sp and play with the teleport velocity values
