Reply With Quote #1

Hello, well my qustion is simple is it possible that fps drops can be cause from server side, and not client side ?
Well, let me explain i own a CSGO server 64 ticks, when the server is full ping, sv, var, loss, choke all of those are great, but when it come to fps sometimes it goes crazy, like you are playing with stable 200, and it goes down to 30 20 and make it umplayable after a round or two it will be 90 100, can even goes back to the 200 (but for a small time laps), if you restart your game the fps will be 200 stable well for the 1st 30 minutes of playing then welcome the drops.

PS: using !ws, !knife, !gloves plugins, but saw a full 42, 46 slots server using those and they don't really have a huge drops.

Anyone can help ?

peoples fps? depends on their hardware/settings/processor power features, as you said if you restart the game it goes back to normal fps.

try disable xbox DVR -> https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...6239-DZCB-8600

i had an user on my server which has drops from 300 too 50 or lower, his processor has clocked down while playing. he set it to max power and all was good.

The majority of players having this problem including me (i have a good hardware tho, im reaching +200fps easily and still having these hard drops ), that's why i find it weird and asking if it's possible that it can be server side.

Players can get fps drops, when more players are close to them (behind wall), try with SMAC antiwallhack. You can also try to change settings like sv_occlude_players.

SMAC will prevent fps drops when someone is behind the wall (client game 'knows' that even if the player dont see the another player) - SMAC can only increase CPU usage at server nothing more.

So sv_occlude_players this should be 0/1?
