Hi @ ALL!

Is there a possibility to write a script which checks if a connecting player has all files needed for a map?
Because the standard CS situation is the following:
You connect - map is missing - downloading map - then crash because of the missing wad file which is NOT DOWNLOADED.

There are already plugins which force you to download the server sound files - is there a possibility to write a script where you are forced to download ALL needed Map files (wad, sound,sprites...)?

Please help.

P.S.: I there is the possibility - i would need the scripting code - bacause i cannot programm it myself :-(

Well its easily possible, I believe. If you search in the plugins section, you're bound to find one.

if you set up your server properly, you dont need to worry about this anyways.

Read up on .res files. These files contain all files needed for a map. So the server will automatically force them to download it before connecting them.
