I hear ya. I just wish because of how excellent this plugin works that there was a way to resolve this. Especially since it's still in the Approved Plugins list.

K guys so this is my first venture into attempting some code. I hope you don't mind that I edited your plugin to get it to stop with the skin glitch. Please let me know if for some reason you see a way of optimizing it or whathaveyou because I'm a noob with this stuff. What I did was simply use the new command that Sourcemod 1.4 gives you called

TF2_RegeneratePlayer(client);

I added it upon spawning of a player if they attempted to spawn as a class they can't be. It simply performs the act of going to the resupply cabinet which fixes their skin and weapons. I hope this helps others since it took me hours to figure out staring at code that at first looked like Greek to me. Enjoy!

Please note: Sourcemod 1.3.2 or higher is required for this change to work.

Yes it fixed it for us. As long as you are using Sourcemod 1.3.2 or higher it should work just fine.

Actually, the 1.3.2 has that as well. 1.4 is not needed.

Thanks I didn't know that. I was under the impression they added it in 1.4 but glad to know it's more widely available. I hope more people get a chance to use this as it's a great plugin!

Yeah, and it doesn't work, tried both the most recent stable release of SourceMod (1.3.3) and the most recent developer release of SourceMod (1.4.0), been using this plugin forever and it just won't work for some reason anymore.
