I know this is an old topic but i am unable to get the auto tv recorder to stop recording automaticaly as soon as the server starts. even thought ignore bots is set to 1 and the minimum players is set to 9 it always starts recoring immediately when i join.


i even tried disabling the auto record to have only manual but it does not seem to work.

When i join my server i type !sm_stoprecord it tells me it is not recording yet when i look at the saved demo it started recording when i joined and when i typed !sm_record i thought i was starting to record as the chat told it the record had started i then played for a bit and stopped the recording. after disconnecting i look into my server file and the only thing that was recorded was my auto record me turning on or turning it off did nothing.


Edit: the manual record seems to create another demo on top of the auto one meaning the automatic one was recording since server start and then my manual record made another one when i started the recording manually

Make sure tv_autorecord is set to 0.

As in on the server config or in the autorecord cfg?

because it is off in the autorecorder.cfg

Make sure it is not set to 1 in your server.cfg or autoexec.cfg or startup command line.

I have done so in both server.cfg and set sm_autorecord_enable to 0 and yet it continues to record when i join the server
