Yeah! Fixed! Found where someone had changed
'short_open_tag' to 'on' in php.ini to fix this problem (it was set to off). Restarted web server. Stats are working!!!

So I had two problems:

1) I had to change sql-mode to not strict in my.ini, the mysql config file. Specifically, I removed the phrase STRICT_TRANS_TABLES from the sql-mode line. My sql-mode line now looks like this:

sql-mode="NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUT ION"

This was keeping my maps file from being populated. Note that createtable.php won't tell you that this fails, but instead tells you that everything worked ok.

2) I had to change "short_open_tag" to "on" in php.ini, the php config file. The entry in php.ini now looks like this:

short_open_tag = On

I'm not sure why this fixes it. I didn't see any short tags in any of the php files. Go figure.

The symptom of all of this was an empty stats page and obscure errors in the web log.

Is there something i can just change in code to work it in vs? Maybe remove gamechecks. I saw the types of stats this collecting - headhosts, number of infected kills, etc,all this can be valid for versus.

EDIT: L4D Survival and Versus stats are coming VERY soon! Oh well, i hope so.

i have reinstalled 3 times, and rechecked everything numerous times.
I cant get the stats to show up.

Had some strange problems the last few days with this. All survivors got 10k points for completing an Advanced mode campaign, then we only got 200 next time we did it. Also 3 people managed to get 31k points by only playing an hours worth...

So how does one go about adding in custom campaigns, or even Crash Course at this point?

L4D Stats crashes the server when playing on the new DLC.
