#1

Hello guys! I have successfully installed HLDS on my Ubuntu and everything is working fine BUT for No- Steam players. I have installed dproto and its fine but when they join they actually do but when there are some players on the server majority of them can't! They just get "Establishing network connection to the server..." and the game freezes. Now, I am using Amazon VPS, I'm not sure if its to the VPS or the HLDS itself. Because why can legit Steam players join so easily? My friend has no steam and tried to join my server when there were some players and he successfully joined, but I installed No-Steam CS 1.6 and tried it myself and boom "Establishing network connection to the server..."and freezes out. Could you please help me out ? Thanks so much brothers.

And if its helpful: I also launched an instance with Windows Server 2016 on it. I tried everything with HLDS but still... "Establishing network connection to the server..." and Steam clients join easily with no problems

Tell your friend to get steam. We don't support No-Steam here.

Well it's not just him... it's the whole community. There are more No-Steam players than Legit clients. That's how it is today. Now, does anyone have any solution?

Make your server steam only or just accept it.

NO STEAM = NO SUPPORT

I too hate No-Steamers but the majority of them doesn't play CS anymore. :-(

That's either your problem or their problem. We got nothing to do with it.

Thanks a lot man, I'll check it ou! But there is a hosting site which is really good and has some new files and engines. I'm gonna post a screenshot of all those files so if you wanna see what fully allows no steam players to play.
