I have started with pawn, I actually don't know HTML that much, I never studied it.
This pawn path has led me to an education in programming. When I am done with my education in 4 years I am both a game programmer, who can program own game engines etc. and a "normal" c++ programmer.

I'm lazy and impatient, so optimisation comes latest and when I have time. So I understand Tirant's point of view perfectly (although he has a different motive). I never code in Pawn, though. And I agree with Mordekay, it's all a matter of weighing costs and benefits.

Pawn (scripting language) and HTML (markup language) have nothing in common, except for the fact that both require a keyboard.
