Hello all


I was looking for a plugin that a server that i played on some years ago had.

Admins can play with whatever name they want but when they use a command the print in chat to be the admin name from users.ini .

If the admin access is on Steamid or iP,when they ban someone (or whatever) in chat will be name that they are using it in that moment.

I am using advancebans (if it is relevant )

Did I understand you correctly, you want to have Admin's in-game name pop out when they ban someone?

Admins to play with any name they want but when they ban/kick/slay etc someone in chat and banlist to appear ADMIN *Admin name set in users.ini* Banned /slay/kick etc Player

Sounds like cvar amx_show_activity 2.

If amx_show_activity is 2, will appear as: "ADMIN PlayerName: slapped player". If it is 1, it will appear as: "ADMIN: slapped player".

This thing was like a custom setting on that server

Maybe my english isn't that good.

So you enter the server as an admin (if i remember well the access was on Steamid) - So you can play with whatever name you want

Thing is,Steamid of the admin was associated with a name.

So when an admin for example his name was John - was playing with another name(lets say Earthquake) and he banned a hacker,in server chat and banlist was ADMIN John Banned hacker Permanent (Ussualy was Earthquake banned hacker ..if we set the admin access on Steamid)

Hope i've explained good enaugh now.

Pretty sure that can be done with reading users.ini, can you send us your advance bans plugin, easiest thing to do is to modify that plugin.

Just took a look at that plugin, and it appears that you need to replace about 200 colons to make this work, if anyone want's to do this, they can, but I have no time for such thing

Some plugins can override amx_show_activity. Language keys are possibly 'askew' although doubt you are trying to change the CVAR.

it's 2 in amxx.cfg
