OMG. Since you say that Valve fixed the Fake Zoey problem, just use this variable value: l4d_scs_zoey "1"

I don't know about that because I've been using his version ever since it came out, but now it doesn't properly load my saved character. Somehow there's a delay when I spawn in game. The cookies feature is broken but back in around April 2023 I can still use it without problems. Don't know what caused this.

Try disabling some plugins and test to see if any could be causing this.
If it works again, add the plugins one by one back to find the culprit.
I've been using one for a long time and have no problems. It's worth trying.

Also try the Krufftys version
