Hey guys hope some of you can help me here got a problem where Sourcebans is showing banned by console when the player was banned by a admin. Everything else is working fine its frustrating that its showing console when i know it was admin.. no errors in the logs

I have to so "Mods" can ban for a limited time, but the BAN command is executed by the server, and not the player, therefor sourcebans records it as CONSOLE.

So do you have any custom setups for banning?

- Any person with access to rcon/sm_rcon can do "sm_rcon sm_ban [...]", and the ban will be triggered as CONSOLE.

Solution: DO NOT give your admins more access than what's needed to maintain the server.


- If the admins config file has John Doe (STEAM_0:1:234), however, the SourceBans installation does not know about STEAM_0:1:234 at all, then it might show up as "CONSOLE" when John Doe creates a ban.

Solution: Add John Doe's information to your SourceBans, and make sure his Steam ID's are a match in both places, ... OR stop using admin config files and only use SourceBans for administering admin(s).

The problem is that Sourcebans keep adding my admins to admin.cfg... and i only add admins through sorucebans... and admin panel is not working if i remove them from that cfg... even if they are in the Sourcebans admin cfg
