This plugin will prevent the glitch in the DOD map dod_falaise that can cause a server to crash on some Windows servers.

I'd like to thank FuzzDad for enlightening me of exact positioning of the map's glitch.

Well, you kinda need the .sma file to be uploaded if you want it to be approved.

Not entirely true. Other plugins, in the interest of preventing malicious acts or circumventing cheat protection, have been approved without supplying the .sma.

But if its not approved, its not approved. No big deal. I'm offering it for the betterment of the game. Not for personal recognition. If a forum moderator wants the sma, I'll be glad to provide it to them. But I'd rather not publically devulge the location of the bug. And anyone who does so should be banned.

As this is a crash fix I would suggest PMing Bailopan and seeing what he would like you to do. Personally, I am split. On the one hand I would like to see the code displayed for everyone to see, but on the other hand, I understand the reason for keeping it hidden from sight. Because he is the one who controls the GPL license for the entire modification, he is the one who will give the yes or no on whether or not he will allow you to keep the source code hidden, as it is up to him.

If he gives you the yes, you will obviously have to divulge the source code to a plugin approver so that they can look at it and approve it nonetheless.

As for right now this thread is closed, but still in new plugin submissions since people can't be mature.

Thread reopened, the original .sma can be reattached.

I dunno if dod_falaise is a stock map, but I would suggest that if its a third party map, and it crashes servers, that someone just go in and add in a wall, so that it fixes this crash altogether, and removes the need for a plugin.

Yes, dod_falaise is a standard map supplied with DOD v1.3. The source has now been uploaded.
