So am I right in saying that if I add the max and min rates to server cfg it will enforce those rates making this plugin pointless other than reading the rates client side which is inaccurate.

why is it sometimes, even though I have the max/min set, the sm_rates shows them out of bounds... and when I tell the player to fix them, their choppyness goes away?

Is it just in my head?

My second question is:

Can you define the rates at which you'd like your players to set them to,

e.g. cl_updaterate 66, cl_cmdrate, and rate 25000,

instead of the server.cfg's sv_min / sv_max rates? Thanks.

One thing I've noticed with the mod is that it doesn't recognise numbers with decimals - i.e. if your sv_min / max rates is set to 50 / 100 and your cl_updaterate is 66.6666, the mod will still punish you for having the 'wrong' rates.

In addition to my last post, IMHO this mod urgently needs to be updated. Below are a list of current problems I am encountering. It's a great mod and I hope it gets the attention it needs:

1. (Important) sm_rate_check not working properly

- I currently have this set to "3", meaning it should be checking client's changes of their rate (1+2) on spawn AND on change. However, clients' rates are not checked on changed, i.e. the menu-style message does not disappear, and more than often the message does not go away until sometime into the following round after the rates have been changed (I have sm_rate_warn "2" - menu style warning).
Note that on initial testing:
- if I have this set to "2", clients can come into the server and play with incorrect rates, and the message won't come up at all, unless the client changes their rates. (So is this working as intended?)
- if I have this set to "1", the message panel behaves like when I have it set to "3" (? disappears sooner after the following round begins?).

2. sm_rate_action ****

- I have Advanced Commands (0.16) installed, but when I set sm_rate_action "ma_spec #%d", the offending players are never moved to spectate. They do, however, gets frozen when I set it to sm_freeze. ma_spec works fine on it's own when I do it in console. Since I now prefer no action being taken, this doesn't really bother me.

**** EDIT: I've just tested sm_spec, that works fine. ma_spec is the command from Mani.

3. as I have noted in my above post, please make the mod recognise rate values set with floats (decimal places e.g. cl_updaterate 66.6667)

There are a few other minor bugs (xaider please let me know if u're interested) but I think the above 2 are the more important ones that needs to be addressed. Please fix as this is a great mod. Ty.

I checked the plugin.ratewatcher.txt and the line there seems to be ok.

Thanks for the amazing plugin btw.
I have exactly the same problem. Is it possible to fix it somehow??
