I'm using this plugin on my server and it's great so far.

The only issue I've encountered is that if you don't change the map (like my server is a single map only).. after about 12 hours it causes rubberbanding on clients? The only solution I've found is unloading this plugin and reloading... or change map/restart server.

I don't have any particular errors in my logs or console.. and I've used the above solution for two days now. It's the strangest thing.. hell at this point I don't even know if it's this specific plugin but everything seems that way.

Thanks for the report, I'll start debugging it right away.

Has this problem been preset since day one of using the plugin?

I believe so. I'm no sourcemod expert by any means, but could it be something with like... there's a cache getting full? And when you unload the program, it clears that cache? Honestly, I have no idea. Confirming it still happens with your latest update.

v0.907:
  • Different way of giving Friendlies godmode which doesn't contradict with other plugins.
  • Possible rubberbanding fix? (no issues reported)

If anything in that plugin should be suspicious for performance problems, it probably is the masses of hooks and entity searches performed under HookThings() and OnEntityCreated(). Other than that I don't see anything that would cause such problems.

This plugin doesn't use any more hooks than the original Friendly Mode and that one doesn't seem to cause such problems.

I'm not sure how or whether having a different way of giving godmode to Friendlies would fix the issue, but my friend reported none after a day of tests.

EDIT: I will rewrite those parts asap, when I will have time, and replace some sdkhooks with events, such as "item_pickup". Hopefully, it will make the plugin more optimized.

Yeah, most of the code in my original plugin was written when I was still learning Sourcepawn. Just like this plugin is your first, that one was my first. It's rife with little things that I want to go back and redo. But I haven't heard any complaints of THAT sort from servers which use my plugin.

Phil, I really appreciate your work you've done here. I will say it's absolutely possible it's something wrong I've set on my servers but, I'm just not sure. I'll update to be current with this latest update and i'll report if I see anything thats happening.

Got your DM and i'll reply there as well.

Edit: Been working since the 11th without any rubberbanding or lag issues. Appears solved on my end!
