hi.
i wanted to know if there is any way to make the commons un-colissionable when:

the smoker it's dragging someone.
i find quite annoying that you drag someone and the commons don't let you separate him from the group.

when the tank punches someone.
some people find quite annoying that when they punch a survivor being the tank, the survivor don't fly away because of the commons. this means a risk if the tank wants to separate the survivors.

possible?

I'm pretty sure its possible. Just probably annoying.

This is mainly because for collisions are normally handled internally in the Source engine. If I remember right they are separated into groups.

The problem is that you wish to disable collisions on a survivor during certain circumstances which would require a pretty elaborate hook on the internal collisions function.
