Sounds on connect

Hey, sup everyone. I do not know why, but when I connect to any server some stupid lil john bullshit song comes on and pisses me off!!!! How do I turn this off? I already checked the sounds folder, not there.

Maybe there's a cd in your cd-rom..

It's normal. Check the STEAM forums, as everyone gets it usually. IT happens on my server too. Check STEAM or just deal, as your only connecting usually for 10 seconds. =\

Nope, because whe I play locally, I don't hear sounds. NEver heard that on my server when connecting, but when LANing, I did. No one really didn't like it, so I don't worry about it.

And yes, you may have had a CD in the drive...I just remembered that it runs it when you connect, and stops after your done. Might wanna check that.

Yes, I did have a cd in there, you were correct, but why did it play the same clip on connect, is it a glitch maybe?

IT only plays the first track...and if that track is short, like in introduction, then it will loop it.

there is a sounds plugin via metamod or amxx. you first download the sound file and from then on when ever you enter that server it will play that .wav

you can search this forum for the plugin and ask the author how you can stop you playing it

Something like that happened to me, but i had no sound when I played the games (Counterstrike, TFC, etc.) Only the song would play. Weird. It just kept playing over and over.
