I remember around a few months ago I stumbled upon a idling server, it had bots set to idle.
I killed these bots and they actually counted as live kills for my strange weapons.
Does anyone know how this might have been? I know these players were bots because the console didn't even show anyone's names, just my name.
The server went offline like a week after I discovered it, so the ip might have been black listed. I was just curious if any one else may have had this encounter or if any one may know how it was even created?

If you see a server doing that, report it to Valve as it's against their policies to do that.

Edit: I should point out that this applies to bots pretending to be players.

Actual players that have their movements controlled by the server are a different story.

Yeah I pretty much assumed it was against valve's policy, but I had curiosity if this was actually performed via source pawn. The possibilities with source mod surprise me.

But yea i'll report any server like that if I find one in the future.
