Fancy quotes are not treated as quotes when parsing.

I found out that the slanted (I've heard them called "smart quotes") quotes were my issue. Thanks for the response! I asked around on the tf2 reddit and got an answer there. Loving my stupid OP custom weapons!

I run a private dedicated server on a mac computer using the srcds from https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=158240, and was editing the custom weapons .txt file with TextEdit, which likes to change the normal straight quotes to the slanted ones, so instead I've been using TextWrangler because macs can't get notepad ++ I guess :/ It's working now though.

Sublime Text is nice for arbitrary editing on Macs if I remember correctly.

Whenever i go to use this plugin its says: Unkown command: Sm_gimme sm_givew or sm_giveweapon. pls help

You didn't install the plugin properly.

Make sure metamod and sourcemod are properly installed, and then make sure the SMX is in the /plugins folder.

I've installed everything.

Tf2Items, Tf2ItemsInfo, Sourcemod, Metamod, and this mod.

Every other mod works though.
