Hello!

What is the earliest point that I can do a show_motd() to a user?

I mean is it possible to do it in client_authorized() for example? or does the user have to client_putinserver() first to be able to get a message?

STEAM.

I'm writing a plugin that kicks the user if he's not in my database upon connection. It all works fine and it shows the reason when kicked and everything, but I would like to show a motd with some infotext and then disconnect; him instead. Is it possible to show a motd that early in the connection_process?

I've tried to put the motd in both client_authorized() and client_putinserver() but nothing works

Maybe the user has to be "in" the game (team selectec etc) to get motd messages?

I think your out of luck, though the intent is good... you could do something similar to welcome message and out it in the console... but nobody looks there anymore compared to what we all saw when logging with 1.5

Well, maybe it is possible to let the user connect and then check if he/she is in your database. If he/she is in your database, the script ends and the normal MOTD is shown. If not you give him/her a different MOTD (I suppose this is possible since I saw a webbrowser-plugin for AMX (not AMX X) in the amxmod forums some time ago) and as soon as he/she closes (or maybe after a specified time) the MOTD frame, you disconnect or kick him/her.
