So I have a ftp all set up with my mod folder which is cstrike.
it has all my stuff ; addons - amxmodx/metamod.
everything in there that i need.
now when i try AMX Mod X 1.76d via FTP installer
i reach to step 4 and pick cstrike as my mod folder.
when i click next it says its not a mod folder

I recommend reading the documents on how to do a manual install, it's not hard.

i read the Manuel installation too. i did like everystep but whenever i choose the mod folder it says its invalid...

Manual setup means you drag and drop the folders yourself; you should not be getting an "invalid folder" error because you shouldn't even be using the auto-installer. Download the base package and any addon pack and upload that into the correct folder
