Ok, so we installed HLstatsX Community Edition 1.6.17 some time ago. Everything seems to be working well, except recently we realized we can't login to the admin web site. Seems either our passwords no longer work or (more likely) we forgot them.

So I thought I would get a bit clever.

I went into the sql database and manually copied the default admin account info from the install.sql file into the hlstats_Users table - which I was a little surprised didn't work.

I did notice there was another account already setup in our table, so it looks like someone was once able to login at some point in order to create this account.

So I'm looking to see if I missed something and for suggestions on how to best approach this.

There is an admin account by default with 123456 default password. If you want 123456 as your password then you need to edit from mysql database to add:

e10adc3949ba59abbe56e057f20f883e

As the accounts password and then log in using 123456 as password.

SOLVED:

Last night we noticed stats weren't working on the server anymore. We traced it to the daemon not running - almost like cron wasn't running jobs. Turned out the user had exceeded the disk quota limit which was hosing everything up. Resetting the quota to a higher (and more reasonable) limit fixed everything.
