I wanted to let you know that I changed Sockets for SteamTools and it's working great.
I don't want to criticize Sockets, that I've been using for months (wait, no, for years!), but I just wanted to let you know that...

I'm on Linux.

I only use socket for fragradio and i dont know if they support anything else

My solution, which is currently inelegant as I haven't gotten round to tidying it up yet, is to (on the server) read the incoming data into a buffer character by character, have the plugin call the SocketDisconnect on the socket when it thinks it's done sending (which aborts the connection) and have the server just swallow the connection reset error and continue with the data it has in the buffer.

Hope this helps you.
Has there been any other way to fix this? or is that the only option to do?

Also is there another update on the way for this extension?

If you tell me where you can get that Frag Radio plugin, I'll tell you if you can use something else or not.

Ok, thanks for the link.

So yes, it needs Socket extension to be compiled, but I'm not sure you need to run Socket to make it work...

Hey guys it's Andy from Frag Radio! We use sockets for interactions like requests, shoutouts, etc.

Following the problems people have been having I'll get our dev team to try an alternative to sockets.

Hello guys. I Have a question about Socket Lib. There is Format function were you passing parameters, such as "GET /%s HTTP/1.0\r\nHost: %s\r\nConnection: close\r\n\r\n", "index.php" "www.mysite.com"); So how can i provide an URL parameters? (e.g. www.google.com/?q=google)

You're better off using CUrl or Steamtools for this.
