Hello, I was changing the steam sound message. I put the sound in replaced it with the name message.wav. Then when somebody sends me a message its default and when I check the sound its default too. Does anybody no how to make it stay the sound I put it?
Steam/friends folder. You will see message.wav

Maybe make file read-only.
Perhaps when you change it Steam updates it by verifying/checking the files.
