I have sourcecomms, this plugin causes the mutes to appear on sourcebans which means there is a lot of session mute spams. Would it be possible that it doesn't submit the mutes to sourcebans?

The sourcecomms plugin does have natives where you are able to set it so it doesn't save to DB:
