Hi, My server is being DDOS'D i dont know alot about it but what i do know is it is unplayable my server is well over 3years old and this suck. any advice?

I went through a similar attack about 6 months ago and I needed to get a new ip address from my provider.

I don't think there is any way to prevent them, just get a new IP.

If you rent your server out, contact your GSP and they should be able to do something about it.

Get DAF and Zblock. Both addons block DDOS'ers and allow the server to run smoothly even if someone is trying to DDOS the server.

I run DAF and Zblock 4.4 at the same time with dos_protect set to 1 (For zblock). These DDOS blocks do work since I have had 3 people to purposely (I asked them to try to DDOS the server) DDOS the server and it only increased the ping of everyone about 10-15.

However, if you are trying to get rid of a DDOSer that is DDOSing your server at this moment, there is nothing you can do besides:

1) Shut down your server. (Exit, Restart (This command in Ubuntu shuts off CPU, does not restart it))
2) Get into FTP
3) Install DAF and Zblock into Addons and the correct folders.
4) Set dos_protect to 1 in CFG (Once you have zblock working).
5) Starting server up by terminating CMD Line.

Other then that, these are the only ways I know how to prevent DDOS.
