The machine i run its a Dual Xeon 3.96 with 4 GB of ddr.

whats psrank.amx do?
If it does anything with mysql that could be the problem

Comment out plugins one by one, see if that helps it at all

That would take a very long time to do...

Anyway psrank.amx shows psychostats when u type /top15, /rank, etc...

I also have that for AMX and no problem.

Not all the plugins, just the custom ones you added. Get rid of all the custom ones, see if the lag goes away. If it does, then your problem is one of the custom plugins.

I will have to try this as well. I was blaming our problem on Steam, however as sad as I am to say everything was fine before I upgraded to AMXX. Could be one of the custom plugs, but they worked fine with AMX. Can't see where modifying them to work with AMXX would suddenly create problems.

I have another issue possibly related to AMXX concerning unbanning. That will be posted in its own thread.

hehe, finally someone with the same problem...

I saw a few posts where the creators said that amxx is a resouce hog but even so my resources are below 50% used...so dunno what might be wrong...

heh, your all crazy i reccon... i run a test server (16 slots) on a really crappy box (linux dedicated) with all modules loaded and heaps of plugins, including bots at some points, and i dont get these lag spikes for both lan and for the external users (when there is one )

btw, the box is a p2 celeron 333mhz with freebsd, amxx + metamod + hlguard + podbot/joebot/ivpbot (changes only one at a time though) + bbmonster

aswell as all amxx modules loaded, with the sockets addon module, and using sql for admin...

As for your lag probs, I have loads of fun stuff running on my single P4 2.6 linux box [1GB ram], I'm running three TFC HLDS's, one 26 man, one 20 man and one 18 man passworded clan server and a 120 man HLTV server with no lag probs.

However I have no stats at all running as I hate them, and TFC don't need them, maybe its a stats problem?

I know you said it was ok with amx and now you have amx modx running its not, but maybe the stats plugins are different for one to the other? I dont know, but maybe try commenting out the stats to see if its that?

Csstas is disabled completly.

The only stats I have are Psychostats and the only plugin for that it's psrank which just displays the stats.

i had the same prob once i had amxx installed! lag spikes etc. theres a problem! whos hiding it?
