Curl is an extension for PHP.
With Curl i can log into alliedmods.net and fetch information about every alliedmods member for example.

As much as i know it would be possible to connect to facebook without using any browsers at all. Complicated but possible.

The way i would do it...that once the player has entered Facebook username and password the plugin would make an webquery like that: login.php?username=DaxProxy&password=Foo
login.php would contain CURL script which will log-in to facebook and log-in to your facebook application, after that CURL script would FETCH the setinfo and send it to MySql database...
Once the ID in MySql database plugin could retrieve it and authorize player. It would boost your plugin useability 900%.

With CURL you can make every facebook user LIKE your application without their knowing.

I can create the CURL scripts necessary if you're interested in making this...

cUrl is: A command line tool for getting or sending files using URL syntax.
And PHP supports libcurl.
