Hay there. Well it's a while since I used xREDIRECT last time, but now I think I can use it again. Um, I had this problem before so that was the reason for me to disable it. This is what it prints:

I looked on topics where some people have the same problem as I have, but it didn't help. My firewall is not blocking UDP and I've set localaddress. Anyways after some hours it completely kills TCP/IP protocol(I mean this socket error) and there is no other way to run it again without restarting the system. In-game everything works as it has to. The problem is in killing the protocol.

the current version (and even 1.1RC1) are not closing sockets properly when the plug-in ends (= on a map change). usually at some point the operating system should clean this up after a timeout but maybe this is exactly what isn't working on your system. so at some point the mass of hanging sockets become too high and your system's networking is messed up.

this issue has been fixed for v2.0 which isn't released yet. the only thing i can offer you is giving you an internal development version of v2.0. as it is running on my own and on SuperCentral.net servers for weeks already it should be quite stable, so don't worry. and then we will see whether it fixes your problem.

if you're interested in trying that: please write me using this contact form so i see your mail address and i can reply with the dev version attached. you will only get the source and have to compile yourself, so have a compiler at hand (i recommend not to use the webcompiler).

I have this error 3-4 times per day for a year. How long to wait new version xredirect?

I have same problem... after one day uptime server, this will happen.. then i must restart once server....

And i am using auto reditect from 2 servers....

Had a similar problem after working plugin for several days.Redirect was between 4 servers

i fixed the socket error in the current stable and beta versions. just grab the new files there and it should be fixed.

Even the stable versions have this errors and I could not understand why .. the stable version was running fine for about 1 year until 2-3 months when this errors appeared.
