Death Notice
Send a message when one player kills another.

CVars:
sm_deathnotice_mode 1/2/3 - 1 = Message admins, 2 = Message victim, 3 = Message everyone

Note:
With the recent influx of INS players (due to it being one of the hosted mods on Steam), I've been asked for this plugin quite a bit, so I decided to post it so I didn't have to redirect everyone to where I initially posted it.

The version posted here is the same thing as the one posted in the old thread, but I added a version cvar for tracking of the plugin. If you have the old 1.0.6, don't bother getting this one.

Would It be possible to have red & blue names to signifies which team killed who.

Heres a quick photoshop example or what I mean.



I only ask this because Insurgency has allot of that gray text and its quit hard to distinguish whats what.

Yeah, but I have no idea what the colors are for that game. Run the attached plugin for me, and use the command "sm_chatcolor". It will print stuff into your chat window. If you could, take a screenshot of that and post it here so I can see the colors the mod provides.

You can't do it on a listen server (or via rcon/server console). You have to be a client on a dedicated server.

Looking at what you pasted, you used the command through rcon (the last line of your paste). Like I said, you can't do it through rcon or the server console. You have to do it as a client.

Id go with color 03...

Im guessing the mod dev team hasn't assigned the colors yet. Becuase there are red & blue colors in the game.

Try this plugin out. Use sm_chatcolor2.

Nothing happens with sm_chatcolor2 the plugin was unloade reloaded and map changed.

sm_chatcolor by it self displayed the same thing as before.

I could go to the insurgency forums and ask them. I don't know what Id be asking for so you'd have to tell me.
