How to make the 8 options show in only one page?

I tried menu_setprop( menu, MPROP_PERPAGE, 8 )

but didn't work.

You can exceed 7 but are still limited to 1-10 (10 is 0).
Use 0 for MPROP_PERPAGE and it will allow as many as you need, but you will need to add your own "Exit" item.
