This appears to be something valve broke, Nothing to do with sourcemod. Quotes are just broken in the games chat box, If you type a " and send the message it appears as a ' instead of a ". So i guess this can be mostly ignored.

Sorry about the title of this post, Not really sure how else to explain the problem i have been having, Also couldn't find anything when searching for this problem on thee forms so i guess ill make a post. This is on a fully stock sourcemod server fully updated with no plugins or extensions installed.

I first noticed this problem on my own personal server when people would try to call votes. This is what would happen:

http://prntscr.com/7rckof
http://prntscr.com/7rckr6

The first link there is a image of what exactly was typed into the in game chat box, which previously worked perfectly for calling votes where the first set of words in quotes would be the question, The second set would be the first answer, The third set the second answer, and so on if you wanted more answers(Up to 5). The second link is an image of what vote was actually called and how it shows up on the screen of everyone when typing in the vote this way. Like i said before. This worked just find a week or so ago(Cant remember the exact time it stopped working, i assumed it was a bug and would be fixed or i would find someone else with the problem and i wouldnt have to post this)

This is a second set of images:

http://prntscr.com/7rclyc
http://prntscr.com/7rcm1d

The first image is exactly what was typed in CONSOLE to call the vote, exactly the same thing typed in the in game chat box with the one difference of replacing / with sm_ like most commands in sourcemod. The second image is of the vote that was actually called and came up from typing it in exactly like this in console, Seems to be working perfectly fine as it should, and as it did prior to me having this problem.

I also noticed this with the /rename command, More images:

http://prntscr.com/7rcrwq
http://prntscr.com/7rcrz0

The first image is of me typing exactly what i would have typed previously into the in game chat box to rename myself to Hello World. The second image is of what actually happened when i pressed enter on that command.

More images:

http://prntscr.com/7rcs25
http://prntscr.com/7rcs3m

Here we see me doing the same thing, Only once again this time in console, Same command only changing / to sm_ and the result(second image) is the command working exactly as it should.

I didnt bother trying it on any more commands that use "" but i feel safe to assume that they are the problem. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Like i said, i am able to reproduce this every time on a fully stock updated sourcemod server. So it would be nice to get any word on this issue im having, Hopefully general is the right place to post this.

I was just talking to a friend about this issue, and he told me that quotes are just broken in chat all together, They are broken on public valve servers as well. If you type a " in the game chat box and send it, it shows up as a ' instead of a ". So i guess this isnt a problem with sourcemod. Valve managed to break quotes? Haha. Dunno where to report that one. but its been a good week.
