Perhaps a plugin that can accumulate points for players when they vote on external links such as toplists, etc..
(topG, tf2-server, etc..)
Would be very beneficial to server owners and players to buy misc stuff.

Do those sorts of websites actually work in terms of traffic? Unless the websites have an API of some sort, it's hard to track if the players actually vote for you or not. It'd be pretty simple to just have a command they can use to open one of those MOTDs and just give them a point for opening it but that defeats the purpose if they can just close it.
