Because right now it's acting like range ability and i think it will make more sense in the game if you get hit first before you see blood or mud or fire on your screen xD
Tank Rush suggested those settings before too. I cannot add those settings for Splatter ability because the splatter affects all players. I cannot specify which players see the splatters, so it would be unfair to affect all players just because the Tank hits one of them. Therefore, it will be a global ability like Panic or Meteor.

The random splatter may not make sense, but it's meant to blind or distract survivors while the Tank and his teammates attack them.

Hey, there is a problem in the versus mode - there the message about the type of the tank is repeated every time when a player who controls it changing, and the type of the tank may change too

Does Drop Ability's Drop Weapon Name only work with melee? I've tried it with weapons such as grenade launcher or m60, but it didn't work.

Did you try it with the console names?

"weapon_rifle_m60"
"weapon_grenade_launcher"

The setting is only broken for melee weapons but guns should work fine.
