I am thinking of buying a dedicated server from ovh. Will this get me to at least 8 servers running around 12 slots per server?
CPU: Intel i7-6700K - 4c/8t - 4GHz /4.2GHz
RAM: 32GB DDR4 2133 MHz
Is this good enough?

Tickrate is important here, but it will get you at most 8 servers running. Ideally you want one server per core/2 thread. Hopefully you don't plan on running anything else on the server, such as mysql or any web services.
