I am getting the "STEAM validation rejected" , when i want to join my CS:S server.This error also appears , when i want to join my TF2 server.

I tryed doing this :

-Creating a "steam_appid.txt" file
-Write the ID of the game in it
-Place the file into cstrike/tf folder.

And it still dosen't work...


If anyone got a solution , post here

tried deleting ClientRegistry.blob and restarting steam?

might solve it if it's clientside

Try sticking -verify_all on the end of hldsupdatetool's command line and then run it to update.

Just tested it , and still get the STEAM validation rejected error.

When i try to connect , it says that "A Client connected with wrong User ID : User ID : 2"
Is there a way to fix this error ?

I think this is same your problem
