I installed the plugin and see it listed amongst my running plugins when I type "sm plugins" in console.

However, it's not generating a .cfg file, as of the first restart with it installed... Any way I could force it to do this?

That's strange, it should be generating cfg/sourcemod/namechangepunisher.cfg

I'm not really sure how to force it.

If you have to, you can manually create that config file and manually set the configuration variables from the first post (except ncp_version, which is set automagically).

cfg file was created for me.

Also , possibly a request ?

Have the plugin create it's own log file, and have it log the players id that it catches.

This plugin detects name changing but doesnt do anything with the offender even though its set to ban and this hasnt been updated in a while.

There may be some issues with the TF2 Server itself not issueing the proper events if it detects a player is spamming name changes.

After reading this I think I'm having a different problem.

It seems to be detecting the name changes successfuly, but all it does is spam

about 50 times without actually doing anything, whether I set it kick or ban.

#Name_change_limit_exceeded isn't produced by this plugin, but rather by the game itself.

This is related to the previous post.

I'm tempted to ask that this plugin be unapproved, as it doesn't appear to work in newer games thanks to Valve implementing its own (ineffective) system that blocks it from working properly.

Powerlord would it be possible to re-write this so it actually works I usually have to look at server log for changed name to ban them.

Looks like this is redundant now.

Will this plugin work for CS:GO ?? I want to ban the jerks doing the rapid name changes, they are almost always cheaters.
