Hey guys.

Currently I have my fastDL setup and working, yet the speeds are still slow. I have tried multiple providers, including the GameServers free option and Host1Free.com, yet both of them seem to be really slow, although I've tested both of their speeds using my browser and navigating to my fastDL server.

I know the fastDL is working because I can see the bandwidth being used as people connect and download files. It's worrying me as I have a deathrun server and don't want people to sit there for 7+ minutes waiting for a download.

Currently my setup is connected to my Host1Free fastDL, but I've changed them all the time to try and fix the speeds.

Hosted @ Gameservers
Hosted in Australia, Sydney
fastDL is hosted in Germany

Is there anything that can be done to improve my fastDL? Currently it is located at "http://haash.freeweq.com/cs/"

All I can say is, don't use maps that are 10 MB after BZipping.

Although, with that host that you're currently using, I tried to download a 10 MB map file. It didn't tell my browser how big the file is beforehand (i.e. I got a "marquee" progress bar instead of a "real" progress bar), that might impact something.

And that host that you're currently using also appears to be rather slow. I only got somewhere around .1 MB/s (not my connection's fault)

average speed here is 1MB/s but i also live in europe, not sure how much it changes
