well i have the same problem as many others.. I searched through this forum and I tried everything but it still doesn't work?

My problem is that when I start a listen server with amx mod x my server crashes while loading.

Ive done the installing just like http://amxmodx.org/doc

so my configuration is like this:

addons(dir)
---amxx(dir)
------etc(dir)
---metamod(dir)
------dlls(dir)
---------metamod.dll
------plugins.ini

I also changed liblist.gam in my cstrike directory from: gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
to: gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

My logfile says when I start my server:
L 08/29/2004 - 00:42:42: AMX Mod X log file started (file "addons/amxx/logs/L0829007.log") (version "0.16")
L 08/29/2004 - 00:42:43: [AMXX] Make sure that modules are compatible with AMX Mod X 0.16
L 08/29/2004 - 00:42:43: [AMXX] Please fix the problem then start the server again

My plugins.ini in my metamod directory looks like this:
win32 addons/amxx/dlls/amxx_mm.dll

I also read something on this forum about a listen server fix on top of this forum???? where is this? i can't see it?

I hope you can help me out.
tnx

What does your modules.ini look like?

Also if you're using AMXx 0.16, try using this (the listen server fix you asked about) core dll instead of the standard core dll.

ok i try the fix first... but do you mean the modules.ini from my amxx directory? here it is:
; AMX Mod X Modules; You can specify both linux & win32 modules here

; Fun - This has extra functions for "extra" stuff
fun_amx.dll

; Engine - This has engine functions core to half-life
;engine_amx.dll

; MySQL - This adds MySQL connection support
;mysql_amx.dll

; Counter-Strike - This adds functions specific to Counter-Strike
cstrike_amx.dll

; CS Stats - This adds functionality for CS statistical information
csstats_amx.dll
