hi,
the problem i have is concerning temporary bans, which as i found out are flushed down the toilet with a server restart (http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=68061). all servers, at the hosting place where i rent it, are being restarted once a day due to maintenance. that basically prevents me from banning for more than 24h unless it's a permanent... it sucks.

following Lee's advice (from the mentioned topic) i'd like to ask for a non-volatile temporary ban plugin. as far as i know there's amxbans, but that's way to advanced - i don't want/need all that stuff. i'll be happy if all the temp bans would just kick back in after server restart, without any changes to the banning process.

i hope it's not too much to ask ;)

ps. maybe it could be an upgrade to newer versions of amxx

no one interested? this would be a nice addition to amxx core package. after all it is a kind of a hole in the banning matter.

my last server used to have a banned.cfg
i do not know if you can also put time limits in there, but with permanent bans it worked without problems (maybe someone different knows?). i think you have to put a special line in your server.cfg then, like exec banned.cfg or something, unfortuneately i dont not know exactly any more because its years ago.. ;)

I have a plugin that I will release soon. It's a very advanced ban system and it can handle temporary bans, no matter how many times the server restarts.
