Im trying to diagnose the game crash that occurred during transition of the level but sm_cvar con_logfile "Server.txt" doesn't output anything.

I am trying to search that file in my game installation folder but found nothing. Help! I also did "log on"

Some reason, in csgo and l4d(2), you need set as *.log file :/

sm_cvar con_logfile myfile.log

*edit
This give you timestamp to every console output message.
sm_cvar con_timestamp 1

When using "log on", it not log everytime in file, it first buffer log output messages and somepoint it write those in file.
- To write logs in file in realtime, use sv_logflush 1
- Log everything in one file ? sv_log_onefile 1

cvars should set first before "log on".
- Or use "log off" and "log on" to take cvar settings in action.

Couldn't find the source of the crash inside my console.log, but thank you.

In L4D2 it is broken by one of Post-TLS updates.
You're limited to console.log in this game for now.
