Why did you delete the plugin?

Just because it won't get approved or because people think it won't get approved, that is not a reason to delete the plugin. If you didn't want to share it, then you should have never posted it to begin with.

Approval Status does not mean anything in the long run and should not be a factor on weather you share the plugin or not.

What I want to say that all of us start from 0, and for a beginner the most important thing is to have approved plugins, even if they are terrible coded and totally useless. Don't take our comments as negative ones, they only mean that you need to work more to create something with a good quality.
If you keep learning you will see how your knowledges will evolve and I'm sure you will understand why we say that this won't get approved.

This is the most important things to get a plugin approved (as far as i know):
- Being usefull, wich means, a considerable amount of people might need it
- Nice code
- Easy management

Simple or complex doesn't really matters as far as it is nicely done and wished by people.
