Is there a way to retrieve the description of a command programmatically? I can't find a function that I could easily extract the data from, and the only way I can see that it could be done is by taking a tip from adminhelp.sp (sm_help) and iterating through all commands using a CommandIterator and simply filtering the only one that I want, which would be extremely inefficient.

Any ideas?

I'm not aware of a reason why there's no function to get the description directly from a convar. You could file an issue on Github for a feature request.
