Do you know why it could be gone, I think my website has trouble connecting to the steam servers but they only filter mysql...

If your website would have problems connecting to Steam, it wouldn't be able to retrieve your Steam name either. Make sure the folder where the avatars are supposed to be stored is writeable by your webserver nd the path to it is set correctly.

Ya I even set it to 777 and I can see the correct images in the folder, they just arent showing on my profile.
