Hey guys, I've been thinking of how to do this for a few hours now but i simply lack an underlying foundation of how the core works.

what i basically want to do is to have a hero have "levels" IE if choose flash at level 1 and then after you hit level 2 you can choose to bump your flash up to level 2 (more speed) or choose a new hero, problem im having is finding out wether a player has a specific hero in order to show the 2nd tier of the hero, if at all possible i'd also like to have all the tiers of a hero as a single plugin (ie Something like IF flash level = 1 then max speed is 300, if flash level = 2 then max speed = 350)

I know this isnt a simple thing and would require alot of re-coding and most likely new native functions and what not, basically i'm just asking if you could point me in the right direction?

you can check the levels in the hero.... when a players level increases you could change the powers of the hero for them, but if you do something like speed or health you would have to by pass the core and code it yourself because it doesn't support powers that change all the time. if they want to pick a diff hero just sent the client command "say drop %s", gHeroName or w/e.

Yeah, i know how to get the total levels and work off what the powers are from there (ala dracula, captain america) what i want to do though is actually find a specific hero, IE does he have flash? if he doesnt have flash then he doesnt see Flash level 2.

so.... you want to code flash level 2 as a separate plugin?

you would have to heavily edit the core to do these kinds of things. Maybe you should wait for the superhero module for sourcemod, we will be able to easily add all sorts of cool stuff like this in that.
